While we continue to improve on Forge's performance, it will take at least the same amount of time as the video is long. For example, a 10 minute game of Fortnite could take about 10 minutes to analyze.

  1. The first step upon creating an account is to upload a match in order to populate the other fields. A match consists of a SINGLE game or the game being analyzed.
  2. To upload a match, click on the 'Analyze a Match' button.
  3. Click on 'Choose File' then navigate your computer's file system to the video you want to upload.
  4. We do limit video uploads to 5GB in size.
  5. Once you have selected a video, click upload to begin the uploading process.

You can access the Profile page by selecting the profile icon and selecting the 'Profile' button.

The Profile page contains all your account information, is where you can change your username or password, can edit your profile picture, connect accounts, change your team, and manage friends.

Please note that all usernames and pictures are subject to our Terms of Service and may be removed or edited if they violate them.

A SINGLE game of Fortnite, Valorant, etc. For best results, include the beginning of the game to the end of the game.

Please do not upload multiple files containing multiple games at the same time as we are currently developing this feature.

For Fortnite, begin your recording while on the Battle Bus and end your recording a couple seconds after you have been eliminated.

The Forge takes most video formats, such as MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, and more. If the format of the video you upload is not accepted, we will be notified and work on adding that format as soon as possible.

Minimum resolution for recorded gameplay should be 720p at 30 FPS. The higher the resolution the longer it will take for the Forge to analyze your gameplay.

There is a variety of popular recording software with different features. We have used Nvidia GeForce Experience, OBS studio, and Windows Game Bar as free options with great success.

Once the Forge has completed analyzing your gameplay you will see a red notification indicator appear on the top right corner of your dashboard next to your profile picture.
You will also receive an email indicating that your analysis is complete 15 minutes after receiving this notification if it goes unchecked on your dashboard.

The Dashboard is the central hub of the Forge that presents an overview of all the available features. From here you navigate the Forge by scrolling down the page or by accessing the menu by selecting the dropdown arrow next to the profile icon.

There are three different methods you can use to get your video analyzed.

If you connected your twitch account to the Omnic Forge then the Omnic Forge will watch whenever you stream and analyze your matches if it is a game that the Forge recognizes.  This also works if you connect your YouTube account and live stream to YouTube. If you don't stream or are having problems where it is not analyzing your stream please let us know and we can take a look at what might be happening with your stream or the video you are producing.

Alternatively you can also record your screen/gameplay and if you upload that video to a place that is publicly accessible (unlisted
YouTube works).  You can paste that link in when you click on the analyze button at the upper right of the Omnic Forge and select the link tab. Sometimes you need to wait a few minutes for YouTube to make the link active after you upload.  Likewise, if you have the link to a VOD on twitch that is publicly readable you can paste that in as well.

Finally, you can upload the video to the forge directly.  It must be a full match and it must be under 5GB in size.  Simply click on the
analyze button and the file tab and select your file to upload.

A common issue we see is when a user pastes in a video link to a url where the video is not accessible from the Omnic Forge such as a private Twitch VOD or private YouTube link.

Another common error is pasting a link to your Twitch channel or YouTube channel instead of an actual video.  The Omnic Forge needs a link to a particular video instead of the generic channel link.

We understand the importance of overlays when you are streaming video to the community.  The Omnic Forge will work with some overlays but it can also affect performance in some cases.  For example, if you place an overlay over the mini-map in Valorant, the Omnic Forge is will have difficulty in tracking your location during the match.  We recommend that you either try to minimize the size or placement of your overlay if you want to make sure you capture particular data.  An alternative is to record a version of your match without the overlay and upload that or provide a link for the Omnic Forge to analyze the non-overlayed version.

Keep in mind that the Omnic Forge will try different methods to capture data and you may only need to alter or remove your overlay if there is specific information you notice is missing from the Forge analysis.
